DIY Whale Applique {Back to School Series}

Hey everybody! Today's post is an exciting one, because it's going to be my first post in my new back-to-school series! In this post I will be showing you how to make your own whale appliques to put on your school supplies! These appliques are so easy to make, and don't require you to purchase any materials!
Note: You can also make these appliques but as stickers. If you'd like a post about how to make your own preppy stickers, comment below!
Enjoy!

1. Gather up your school supplies that you wish to decorate.
2. Grab last year's Lilly planner {or any pretty paper for that matter} and find a print you like.
3. Either trace or freehand a whale onto the back of the paper. {Whale should be facing wrong direction}

 4. Cut out the whale.
 Make as many as you want to decorate with!
 Here's what a decorated notebook looks like!

Now, grab your hot glue gun {or any type of available glue}.
 Place glue all over the back of the whale.
 Then stick it to your folder or notebook and apply pressure for 10 seconds.
 Viola! Now your school supplies are super adorable!
P.S. To ensure that your whales stay, you can apply mod podge over the them.
 Another quick tip: put stickers that you've accumulated onto your supplies! I loved how this Southern Anchor sticker looked on my folder.
